Answered Prayer at Every Point of Need
And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive. Matthew 21:22
Therefore I say unto you. What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them. Mark 11:24
We began seeing a woman psychologist during the summer and I found her manner much kinder and calmer. Jonathan tolerated her much better and wasn’t as fearful. She educated us on OCD and all its ramifications. I racked my brain for things that would be joyful for Jonathan and our family as a whole.
We told the boys they could have a dog for Jonathan’s birthday if they cleaned out the dog house in the back yard. It was done within the hour. Mark went to the dog pound close to our home and reserved a dog. I prayed for a medium sized, short-haired, low maintenance puppy. Mark came home and said, “He is there!” Chester was a source of joy and love until the day we put him down at fourteen with bone cancer. He was my walking partner for thirteen years. The power of prayer was daily reinforced in our lives.
Prayer: Praise your holy name and help me understand how much you love each of us.
Thought: Are things that might seem trivial to others a priority for the Lord to build your faith? Pray believing and watch the Lord answer specifically and immediately!
